Sometimes, when you least expect it, expectations just fall through though. Sometimes you expect so much out of someone and are willing to do so much with someone and go places with them. Then you find out they don’t - they won’t - even give the bare, bare minimum towards something you both believed in. It just strikes you down and you find it hard to get up again and return to the you that you were before. But you just have to keep going, and show them that the pain they gave and, at times, are still giving to you, can’t keep you down. Stand up on shaky knees. Throw away the pain. Keep your eyes open, and watch me shine.
